Our Thursday poll found him easily winning the race as "Who bugs you the most?" Surely in response to that (well, maybe a Media Matters campaign and other pressure), Chris Matthews tonight fessed up to charges that he been somewhat or very male chauvinist piggish in regard to Hillary Clinton, as we observed last week. On his "Hardball," he now admits some failings, after revealing, "Some people whom I respect, politically concerned people like you who watch this show so faithfully every night, people like me who care about this country, think I've been disrespectful to Hillary Clinton, not as a candidate, but as a woman."
Here's the climax: "If my heart has not always controlled my words, on those occasions when I have not taken the time to say things right, or have simply said the inappropriate thing, I'll try to be clearer, smarter, more obviously in support of the right of women -- of all people -- the full equality and respect for their ambitions. So -- I get it." But look what it took for him to "get it."

I'm glad to see that Chris Matthews has realize the error of his ways - it only took thousands of calls and emails to MSNBC about his disrespect of many women he had interviewed. This wasn't just about HRC. I'm actually an Edwards supporter, but I was offended by Matthews' condescending and dismissive attitude toward Hillary Clinton as well as many other women he has interviewed.
