Weeper-gate?

This one will probably get a lot pundit attention today. Joining everyone from Maureen Dowd to Bill Kristol in this line of thought, Barack Obama's co-chair, Jesse Jackson, Jr., questioned the nature and timing, if not (quite) the sincerity, of Hillary Clinton's "tears" on MSNBC today. Once again, Talking Points Memo has video.

Jesse Jackson Jr. is cheaply playing the race card by connecting the tears with Katrina. It's a shout out to the Black voters in South Carolina. Tacky and tawdry.

If Obama wants to represent "change" from cheap shots and tawdry politics, he needs to step up and stop this crap from his supporters because it DIMINISHES his message.

And I'm an Obama supporter.

THIS nonsense from Jackson was deeply disturbing.

Speak up, Obama. Don't let these guys tarnish you.
