'Strangelove' and JFK

It is a little known tidbit in movie and popular culture lore that the first screening of Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove was set for November 22, 1963. Now, what else happened on that day? Yes, you all know. Naturally the screening was postponed and then, because of the topic of the film, and portrayal of its "Milton Muffley" president (though Ike-like), it was pushed back for weeks. When I saw it then, it immediately became one of my all-time favorite flicks, and remains so today. Here is the great, groundbreaking original trailer for it--also axed and not viewable until recently.
