How 'Daily Show' Hurt 'Newsweek' Journo in Iranian Jail
He'll be re-appearing on The Daily Show tonite so time to recall amazing piece by Maziar Bahari a couple weeks back in Newsweek. He's the well-known journalist for that magazine locked up in an Iranian prison for so long after the June crackdown. He writes that when the authorities saw this Daily Show segment (below) they charged that Jason Jones was a spy. Bahari pointed out this was a comedy show to no avail, as they wrung his ears and said he would rot in prison. Also: Behari said the lyrics of the great Leonard Cohen brought him comfort in jail.
