"Disgrace" vs. "Unhinged"

It's only mid-August, and the party conventions have not even happens, and already we are at this point in the race for president.  Romney just declared that Obama's campaign has "disgraced the presidency."  Also it's "wild and reckless."  And Obama is "desperate."   And a response?  A spokesman for Obama, Ben LaBolt,  said Romney's attacks are  “particularly strange coming at a time when he’s pouring tens of millions of dollars into negative ads that are demonstrably false,” adding that he seemed “unhinged."
