Goin' Down to See Bessie

Amazing film clip (from a kind of crappy movie): The greatest blues singer ever covering the most recorded American song ever. Yes, it must be Bessie Smith doing "St. Louis Blues." Even the choral singers can't wreck it because Bessie is wailing. And below, perhaps the most important recording of first half of the century: Bessie doing same song in 1925--with the very Louis Armstrong (the most important musician of the past 100 years).
