Hurricane Heading for Tampa?

That tropical storm in the Atlantic, in this updated bulletin, now expected to become hurricane and is heading for the Gulf region, with possibility of hitting, or impacting, Tampa just as the GOPers meet.  Path model very iffy but this National Hurricane Center advisory does close with this: "It is still too early to tell what, if any, effects the storm will have on the U.S. mainland, but there are several computer models that bring the storm into the Gulf of Mexico, while others move the storm further east.  With roughly 50,000 people headed for Tampa, Florida, for the Republican National Convention August 27-30, there is heightened interest in the future path of the storm."

Since it's the first hurricane of season, and they always start with the As, they ought to name it "Hurricane Akin."
