Our Allies in Afghanistan Kill Two More Americans

The phenomenon--Afghan soldiers we've trained, you know, the guys purportedly on our side--has finally gained more attention and now this:  It's just reported that two more of our troops have been shot and killed in this way today.  That brings the total for the year to 42--12 just this month.  For good measure, at least 10 Afghan soldiers were killed by their comrades, who turned out to be insurgents in disguise.

But don't look for a whisper of  Afghanistan as an issue in this fall's campaign.
