Piercing the Convention

The eagle--or at least Charles P. Pierce--has landed in Tampa, as the Sage of Beantown arrives after a bumpy bus trip on the edge of town, where he is bunking with delegates from the crazy great state of they're-not-in-Kansas-anymore.   From there he will continue on his way to Charlotte and then back home to Boston.  Don't miss a single installment!

Today he observes: "I am sure that it is only God's own little coincidence that, a few miles down the road, out in the middle of the deep green nowhere, there was a billboard exhorting delegates to the Republican National Committee to abandon their pledges to other candidates and nominate Sarah Palin for president."
