An Old Saw

"Hardball" just aired TV spot for LBJ from 1964 that I'd forgotten about, and linked it to Romney's apparent wish to forget about 47% of Americans completely.  In 1963, Sen. Barry Goldwater famously mused in a magazine piece that--wouldn't it be nice if the East Coast of the USA could be separated from the rest of the country.  So the LBJ folks created a map with a saw literally cutting off the East Coast so it could drift out to sea.  Love the sound of the saw, the gurgling water and announcer's voice.
