Hank Williams Jr., who has done so much to besmirch his apolitical daddy's name, drove another nail in the great one's coffin this weekend with his latest anti-Obama outburst at a concert in Texas: "We’ve got a Muslim for a President who hates cowboys, hates cowgirls, hates fishing, hates farming, loves gays, and we hate him!” Two corrections on the article: Merle Haggard, who also performed, is NOT "almost as conservative" as Hank (who is?)--using "Okie from Muskogee" from the 1960s is hardly worthy fact-checking. And it's NOT a "family tradition" to be this idiotic and, when you think of it, anti-American. Listening to Hank Jr. today I'm so loathsome I could cry.
Here's as political as Hank Sr., and note that his target was not a duly elected U.S. president but--Joe Stalin. And with some great fiddlin'.
