Props for This Prop
my recent ebook on the history of capital punishment in the U.S., Dead Reckoning. For now here's a link to a new L.A. Times op-ed backing the prop, though with this twist: Unlike me, he does not oppose it on moral grounds, or because innocent cons may be killed, but simply because--it costs too damn much to keep it in place.
is author of a dozen books (click on covers at right), including the new "THE TUNNELS: Escapes Under the Berlin Wall and the Historic Films the JFK White House Tried to Kill." He was the longtime editor of Editor & Publisher. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Twitter: @GregMitch
