My old Crawdaddy colleague Jon Pareles with full review of new Dylan album at NYT site. I knew about the 14-minute Titanic song but not the take on John Lennon's murder, described as the album's true "clunker." If you've never seen the long-hidden, then bootlegged, now on YouTube film footage of the notorious 1966 Dylan-Lennon car ride while totally stoned/drunk. It was shot for, but obviously not used, for Bob's also long-unreleased film "Eat the Document." This segment opens with reference to Johnny Cash "in my film." Later Dylan blows lunch.
