I've been reading the fine new Leonard Cohen bio and posting updates daily here along with apt clips. I've just reached 1988 and his comeback album, I'm Your Man, picked by the NYT as the album of the year. It's most famous for the title song, for "Everybody Knows," and "Tower of Song," but a more obscure track, "I Can't Forget" got this (better) version by the Pixies on a tribute album. "I can't forget...but I can't remember what." And then you will want the Jarvis Cocker live version. And Leonard's version below that.
