I've been posting daily here while reading the fine new Leonard Cohen bio, picking a song from whatever period I'm up to. Now it's about 1990 and I was happy to see a couple of grafs about one of my favorite videos, capturing Leonard on Jools Holland's TV show doing "Who By Fire" with the great Sonny Rollins. It happened on the spot, unplanned, and Sonny later asked one of the backup singers, "Do you think Mr. Cohen liked it?" Duh. It's epic.
