'Beasts' Burdened--With New Awards

Update, Dec. 26:  A.O. Scott of NYT says his two favorite movies of year, Lincoln and Beasts, have much in common.

Earlier:  L.A. Film Critics giving out its award, one by one today, and already has made two great picks:  Dwight Henry, a non-professional in Beasts of the Southern Wild, for best supporting actor--and the score for that film as the best in that category.  (Last summer I named the film my favorite American movie of the year to that point.)
