First Major Film Awards

Brace yourself: the awards season is upon us, with NY Film Critics first up today.  They have rolled out the awards slowly today but now almost final, with not too many surprises.  Lincoln and Zero Dark Thirty dominating.    The latter just won for Best Picture.  Surprise best actress win for Rachel Weisz--and Matthew McConaughey for supporting actor. Yes, they love, they really love, Sally Field.  Kushner for screentplay, Bigelow for director.  Central Park Five gets best doc. Complete list here.
