New Roger Cohen column for NYT online chides Obama for not promising more and talking tougher in wake of Newtown massacre--words not that different than those used after Gabby Giffords attack. Cohen expresses (correct) bafflement in Europe over our gun culture and gun laws and "praise the Lord, pass the ammunition," as I would put it:
