Today in 'Just Another Gun Crazed Day in America'

UPDATE #2  Twitter dispute leads to shooting and death of former prominent athlete in Tyler, TX.  Bizarre story all around, right down to marijuana arrest and pregnant girlfriend....And in gun-nutty Tennessee, a boy in Memphis has accidentally shot himself and died.  Boy was four. 

UPDATE #1:  Bizarre twist, as sources now say alleged shooter is not man IDed below but his father.  And eyewitness account of carnage.

Earlier:  Former optometrist shoots and kills two women in Wilmington, Delaware,  at courthouse, wounds two cops.  One of women is ex-wife.  Man was jailed earlier for kidnapping three daughters in 2007.  Obviously had no trouble getting guns.  Schools locked down in area.  Shooter is dead, but not known if police got him or self-inflicted.

Wilmington Police Chief Christine Dunning is attending a roundtable--on gun violence--with Vice President Joe Biden and other law enforcement officials in Philadelphia.

While they were married, he reportedly kept several weapons in the house, including a .357 magnum, and had taken a one-week shooting course in Las Vegas. He read survivalist books, and alarmed Belford, who during an interview recalled his wife saying, “I know how to kill people and leave no trace.”
