You might think that one thing we could less of--as we sequester this and that and cut Social Security, for example--might be nuclear weapons. But, hey, the Russian might still be coming? Or something. I guess 1500 aren't enough or at least need to be "modernized." But the new Obama budget calls for diverting money from spending on anti-proliferation efforts to keep our arsenal up to snuff, as it were. A reminder of how this all started:
