Gogh Forth and Multiply

Sacrilege of the day, week, month, year, almost forever (remember, I've been to Vincent's grave and room where he died):  They have re-grown Vincent Van Gogh's ear, based on genetic material provided by a descendent, and put it on display, in Germany.  "I use science basically like a type of brush, like Vincent used paint."  Well, not exactly.

This is one case where I really wish it turns out to be a hoax.   First off, isn't it the wrong ear (see below)? Or maybe not, since Vincent probably painted this using a mirror.

it's not the wrong ear if VVG was looking in a mirror as he painted the self-portrait...

...or if you look it up on "the Internet" and learn that it was indeed his left ear.
