Judge Upholds Voter ID Law

Today, in that big case in Pennsylvania that could really hurt Obama and House candidates--in effort to confront virtually non-existent "voter fraud." ACLU will appeal but final panel is evenly split between GOPers and Dems so you know what that means (it will stay in place).  "The decision by Robert Simpson, a commonwealth court judge, clears the way for Pennsylvania to require voters in the Nov. 6 general election to produce photo identification before they are allowed to cast ballots." It's possible Obama will have enough of a bulge to survive.

UPDATE  NYT quickly out with editorial slamming ruling--"a clear and disturbing illustration of the way Republicans have manipulated legislation for their own ends, placing a veneer of civic responsibility on a low-minded and sleazy political ploy."
