44 years After: Alvin Lee, R.I.P.

Never had any use for the rock stylings of Ten Years After, nor the excesses and mugging of lead guitarist Alvin Lee.  But Lee went on to be an "influential" axe man, in the words of Tom Morello and others.  He has died at age 68, which is getting a little too close for comfort.  Anyway:  Here's his career highlight, at least in terms of popularity, from 1969--part of the famous segment in the film Woodstock, which ended with him carrying off that watermelon.
