What promises to be a remarkable series opened tonight at www.nytimes.com. It's called "War Torn" and it is billed as "A series of articles and multimedia about veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan who have committed killings, or been charged with them, after coming home." Check out Part I, up at the Times' site and no doubt in print on Sunday.

It's an ugly story beautifully told. I look forward to the rest of the series.
The Times has taken a bunch of anecdotes and spun them into a trend. 121 men committed crimes over a six year period. The guys at Powerlineblog.com did some basic math and found that their crime rate was actually less than the national rate for men in their age group. More disingenous reporting from the NYTimes that never lets an opportunity slip to disparage our men and women in uniform.
