It's important but extremely easy to write about the press's complicity in pushing the Iraq war.
I hope that Greg Mitchell and his publication will begin to cover the media analyses that we have published at ifamericansknew.org about Israel-Palestine: our two year studies of the New York Times and prime-time news (broadcasts reported on Israeli children's deaths at rates up to 14 times greater than they covered Palestinian children's deaths); our evidence that AP erased footage of an Israeli soldier intentionally shooting a Palestinian boy; our discussion of the LA Times' designation as a "period of calm" a period in which 170 Palestinian men, women, and children had been killed by Israeli forces.
Israel-Palestine is at the core of the Middle East and is intimately connected to the Iraq war and the push for war against Iran. Media coverage of it has been abysmal. It's time for Editor & Publisher to start covering our information.
It's interesting to see a (relatively) young William F. Buckley- a figure that I'm afraid I still associate most strongly with his fictional devotee Alex P. Keaton :)
