In my decades of watching closely campaign stuff on TV, I don't I've ever seen this: a major candidate (in this case, Ms. Clinton) having to cut short an interview because of uncontrollable coughing. We presume that it had nothing to do with having just been asked about her husband's role in her future. If anything, it serves as a symbol of the hideously too-long campaign.

Tacky, tacky, what one would expect from Politico, or Arianna Huffington, or Maureen Dowd.
Clinton has lost most of her voice, can barely speak, and is, like anybody in her situation, close to running on empty.
Does it really serve your readers to assume the basest motive on her part for every word and deed, whether a cough or a hug or a teary eye?
For somebody who's a press-watcher, and =knows= that this is what the reporters covering her do, it's unseemly to join the pile-on.
