Key number of the night: The Associated Press count of delegates showed Obama with 1,186. Clinton had 1,181, falling behind for the first time since the campaign began. All the other news outlets also vaulted Obama to the lead. My take: It may be over. Clinton could win Texas and Ohio and still likely trail because of the way the delegates break there. If she winds up the primary season down by a couple of hundred delegates will she try to win using the super-delegates or by forcing the bogus Florida and Michigan issue? I don't believe so. The stink would be palpable.
Earlier I watched Lisa Caputo, the former Hillary press secretary, repeatedly tell a very critical Wolf Blitzer that Clinton really did "win" Florida and Michigan. Asked why Obama keeps sweeping caucuses, she answered, "Well, he used to be a community organizer." Yeah....that's the ticket.
