We watch the polls so you don't have to...

For the first time, a major poll has put Obama ahead of Clinton nationally. It's today's CNN survey which finds him with a 49% to 46% lead. There's some chance that he is picking up the bulk of former Edwards supporters. Other polls show a dead heat or a Clinton lead. New Jersey, as I noted previously, is now in play. Be wary of all polls relating to California -- a huge number of voters case their ballots days or weeks ago when Clinton was riding high. Would not be a surprise at all if Obama easily wins California vote on Tuesday -- but loses overall because of the early mail-in vote. McCain, meanwhile, remains far ahead nearly everywhere, though Romney doing well in California.

On a lighter note: Perhaps you have seen the creepy YouTube smash where a certain "anonymous" force promises to destroy Scientology. Now there's a funny takeoff, with Ralph ("Don't You Dare Run Again") Nader the target:
