Opening line in New York Times piece on end of the writers' strike: "As 10 writers for the hit CBS drama 'NCIS' returned to work Wednesday following a 100-day strike, Shane Brennan, the show’s writer-producer, asked a question that drew blank stares. 'Can anyone remember what we were working on three months ago?'"
In any case, Jon Stewart tonight celebrated getting his "The" back in The Daily Show, although the writing for the show remained a little shaky. Larry Wilborn, the senior black correspondent, did assert that the only reason Obama is doing so well lately is that this is Black History Month, so white folks don't have much choice. So maybe Hillary does have a chance in the March 4 primaries.
Speaking of which, big Adam Nagourney piece in New York Times for Thursday says that the Clinton camp is ready to use "incendiary" methods to even out the delegate count -- since they now realize that she cannot quite catch up even if she does win Ohio and Texas. Look for a return to the big push for seating Florida and Michigan, claiming that her bogus wins there should count. It could get ugly in a a hurry.
