My First Rock Idol

I was a little young for Elvis, and was already a huge Ricky Nelson fan from his pre-rocking days on Ozzie and Harriet (Buddy Holly did not have a weekly sit-com), so when he started making records he was the guy for me. He doubled up with film performances shown at the end of Ozzie and Harriet--in some ways a precursor to the music video. In this hit he is backed on guitar by the one and only James Burton, a constant ally before he jumped to Elvis and Vegas.
