Conservatives are still in a snit over Sesame Street reference to "trashy" news (courtesy of Oscar the Grouch, of course) over at POX News. The PBS ombud Michael Getler even suggested the show had gone too far. Now a producer for the show denies it all, explaining that the segment also mocked CNN and, anyway, Oscar is always grouching about everyone. NYT reports. Video below.

This has got to be one of the most ridiculous issues I've ever heard! If the conservative right ever bothered to actually watch the show, they would realize that from Oscar's viewpoint, something trashy is excellent!! Oscar sees the trash and nasty things as supreme. A comment that POX is trashy was a compliment from this perspective, not a slam. I am just so tired of this constant whining from the right. Time to grow up now and deal with the real issues.
This is something perfect because Sesame Street was my favorite t.v show I spend excellent time seeing those figures when I was child.m10m
