That was the task of proving that it could be done that fell to the Jonesboro, Ark. police, after the much-publicized and loudly-criticized death of Chavis Carter, 21, while in custody, cuffed and sitting in the back seat of a police cruiser. Was he executed by the cops? Is he a different version of Trayvon Martin?
So the local police (under fire for some of their past actions) did a little two-minute video to show that it could be done, using cops of varying sizes (even a woman) as re-enactors. His mom is not buying it. Still wondering why he was put into the car with a gun in his pocket. Hard to watch but amazing:
