Someone asked if there were any great "Isaac" songs and the obvious answer is, of course, Leonard Cohen's, here in obscure live 1966 (pre-recording) version and below that, in a fine version by Suzanne Vega. Leonard's lyrics have some apt meaning relating to GOP convention:
You who build these altars now
to sacrifice your children,
you must not do it anymore.
A scheme is not a vision
and you never have been tempted
by a demon or a god.
