Big news for fans of early Stanley Kubrick flicks (I am one, with "Paths of Glory" and "Dr. Strangelove" in my all-time top 10): a new "restored" release for his first film, "Fear and Desire," mainly unavailable until now, coming on October 23, from a Library of Congress copy. On DVD and Blu-Ray. Here's Amazon link. But there's a version of some kind up at YouTube now in eight parts or so. Paul Mazursky, later a famous director, was star.
Kubrick was mainly a photog for Look magazine at the time and film was made on low budget, natch.
