Gail Collins on Gun Nuts, After Another Deadly Killing

Gail Collins in her Saturday column looks at absurd gun nut arguments in favor of arming everyone to prevent mass shootings.  As she points out, among other things, after nine bystanders shot by cop today in NYC: the accuracy shooting rate for NYPD cops was recently placed at 34%.  And these are trained professionals.  Imagine dozens firing in the dark the next time a gunman starts shooting in the next movie theater or church.   Even the NRA backs some limits on automatic weapons--for hunting.  But not for hunting humans.

Meanwhile, Jeffrey Johnson, who assassinated a former co-worker  today in NY, then was shot by cops, was a clothing designer who, we now learn, had an active YouTube channel for his illustrations, mainly of souped-up autos and motorcycles.  His YouTube handle: Jolly1, and name St. Jolly.  You can't make that up.  One video:
