Ricketts Sickened by New Book?
Fun report in LA Times today on famous wealthy rightwinger Joe Ricketts (left)--his prime issue is cutting taxes and spending--publishing a book by two profs at his imprint--which to his surprise carries the message that actually the government needs to sharply raise tax revenues. Apparently no one read the manuscript before publishing. Ricketts, you may recall, was the man behind that aborted ad campaign a few weeks back trying to link Obama, again, to Rev. Wright. He's also a major funder of new Texas hope Ted Cruz. Ricketts made his money as founder of what is now TD Ameritrade and he and his family own the Chicago Cubs. So let's also be glad that the Cubs, once again, suck.
