A major ESPN piece, and news of a Kickstarter-funded new documentary, took me back to one of the great viral animated vids ever: On former outlandish Pirates pitcher Dock Ellis famously pitching his no-hitter in 1970 high on LSD. That's Dock himself narrating, giving new meaning to the phrase, "a trip to the mound." He once claimed he imagined Nixon calling balls and strikes. Also: saw a comet coming out of the ball.
