They just announced the annual Kennedy Center honorees and it's an unusually eclectic list, including Dustin Hoffman, blues man Buddy Guy (not exactly a household name) and David Letterman (who will probably mock it). But here's the real head-scratcher: Led Zeppelin. Not a member, but the group, as if this is the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. And, of course, they are not Americans. And Paul Ryan is not yet in office.
From announcement: Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant transformed the sound of rock and roll with their lyricism and innovative song structures, infusing blues into the sound of rock and roll and laying the foundation for countless rock bands.
