Mitt, Like Dad, Brainwashed?

I am wondering, given the backlash, if Mitt will now ape his dad, who famously shifted positions radically, claiming he was a victim of "brainwashing" on a trip to Vietnam.  So perhaps the son will now claim he was brainwashed by neo-con advisers on the need to make quick, disgraceful charge against Obama.  I remember the George Romney incident very well--it sank his campaign for president.  For the younger set, here's the interview that did it:
