Last week I reported: Bruce Springsteen's daughter has sent a letter to the New Jersey governor on behalf of the ASPCA asking him to sign a bill--passed back in June but stuck on his desk--that would ban the slaughtering of horses in the state. Jessica Springsteen, 20, is an accomplished rider.
Now an update tonight, as the AP reports: Jessica just bought a gold medal-winning horse
from the London Olympics with hopes of competing for the United States
in show jumping at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro. The horse, Murka’s
Vindicat W, was ridden by Peter Charles as part of Britain’s show
jumping team last month.
