Tom Morello: Sitting This One Out, It Seems
When Paul Ryan got picked for the veep slot, and claimed Rage Against the Machine was on his iPod (next to the Led Zep and, who knows, Deep Purple and Tull), Tom Morello of Rage ripped him a new one, pointing out that Ryan must not have listened to the lyrics. Now, in a new interview with the Hollywood Reporter he calls Ryan "a jackass." But he also says in 2008, he “drank a little bit of the Kool-aid” and
supported Obama, but now he’s disappointed: “It looked
different than any other president, sounded different than any other
president, and then he acted the same as all the other presidents. If
you have war crimes on your record, and you still continue to suck at
the corporate teat like he does — my hopes were higher.”

Tom Morello makes great music but his judgment in the theater of the real is seriously defective.
Prosecuting a war by attacking those who routinely attack& kill US troops, even if it is done in unpopular ways, is a job of the president.
How many mistakes do you make in the course of a wee, tom Morello? How may photographs do I put in the trash; how many cuts do you tape over? Look at Obama's overall record and see the promises he has kept, then try to be human about it and realize that everybody makes mistakes, We bury ours, the president's get analyzed on national TV.
I've been a critic too, It's not rational to say it doesn't matter, when the other party is reactionary and very mush worse in every way. There is a lot at stake in this election. The last time people said it doesn't make a dimes worth of diff, because the other guy's not perfect, we got George W. Bush.. America ma never recover from that lapse in judgment. We certainly can not afford to make a similar mistake. With this degenerate GOP the election of Mitt Romney could be a very similar mistake.
