Not sure what to make of this, but it's not widely known that Gallup has its own measure of the unemployment rate that tracks very well with official figures, often before the gov't release. Last month, for example, it had rate at 7.9% before the official number came in, surprisingly, at 8%.
Well, today, Gallup took a rare mid-month look--and found a shocking plunge to 7.3%, it's lowest figure since early 2010. I don't understand fully what it is based on, but Gallup has good track record, that I've observed, at least. So will a great pre-Election Day job report boost Obama? Read about it here.
