Sandy, Day 4
Still no power or internet or heat, need to boil water, getting pretty damn cold at night, especially, little hope for power back in next week, but some areas around here rebounding, some restaurants and stores open, so now can spend more time out of house, at least. Still not sure when can return to more blogging, tweeting etc. So, again, for now, just another Nate Silver update on election. More polls today continue to show Obama in pretty good shape, and good resutls for Sherrod Brown, Tammy Baldwin, and others. Mourdock may now we trailing in his race. And I've re-posted a "golden oldie" at The Nation: When saintly Hollywood producer Irving Thalberg created the firm attack ads on the screen.

On Boston's WBUR Radio, Robin Young had on a reporter from Radio One I believe it's called, and he said that the Rockaway district where the reporter lives is getting NO help from the City, State or Feds yet, and National Guard trucks not far away from Rockaway are just parked with the motors running. I'd be a little happier if President Obama stayed in DC for one more day so that if he received this info (if it's correct) he could help those people out.
