Watching Joni Mitchell doc from 2001 on Netflix, and it's December, so we're "comin' on Christmas," via her classic "The River." Below that: Incredible video from 1965, well before she left Canada--and sharing stage with equally undiscovered Harry Chapin and his brothers. Below that, her great early song about a visit to Leonard Cohen's boyhood home in Montreal. And finally her song about my man, Beethoven.

Which Joni Mitchell doc are you watching?
Love Joni - thanks! Ladies of the Canyon saved my life.
I linked through to a vid of Joni and James Taylor doing "For Free" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2L7iCOpRDjM - at the end of the song Joni is talking about Neil and the story behind "Sugar Mountain". She said she wrote a song back to Neil (and herself :o) in response to "Sugar Mountain". Would you happen to know the song that Joni wrote in response?
Saw Neil with the Horse Sat night - they rocked our socks off. I am reading his book, Waging Heavy Peace, highly recommend.
