Dramatic prize topper at Sundance goes to Frutivale about the final day of Oscar Grant, 22,slain on a BART train by security guards in 2009 (and immortalized by activists in Oakland who renamed main city area Oscar Grant Plaza). It stars Michael B. Jordan of Friday Night Lights and Parenthood fame. Writer-director is Ryan Coogler. Jill Soloway wins directing prize for Afternoon Delight, about woman who takes stripper into her home. Also: documentary winners and more. The Richard Rowley film about Jeremy Scahill, Dirty Wars, took the top cinematography prize. Even a film on Pussy Riot got an award.
