Apologies to Bruce Cockburn, but: Amazing, scary story of a
civilian with a surface-to-air missile launcher showing up outside a gun "buy back" event in Seattle. But there was no buy back--instead, he sold it to another civilian for $100. In fact, police witnessed numerous private sales outside the event, as gun nuts show up to purchase weapons at low prices before they are turned in for even lower prices. But about that missile launcher:
Seattle police have contacted Army officials at Joint Base Lewis-McChord near Tacoma deputy chief Nick Metz said Monday.
"Once it's brought on base and investigators have a chance to look at
it, they'll see what they can determine," Army spokesman Joe Kubistek
said Monday. "It's too early to give any information on it until we have
hands-on access to see it and take a look at it."
Police witnessed the private exchange of the military launch tube
near the gun buyback event, where gun buyers tempted those standing in
long lines to turn in their weapons with cash.

That's our BEAUTIFUL 2nd Amendment rights!!
It just says "arms" you know -- not "guns."
We've got a right to our land mines, phosphorous grenades, automatic rifles, surface-to-air missiles, sonic crowd-control devices, and, yes, our nuclear weaponry.
