Racist Arson in Israel, Over Soccer Move
Amazing story out of Jerusalam. The Likud party's famous soccer team--the last in the country to add an Arab player and long accused of racism (the same for its fans)--has seen its office, with all its memorabilia and more, destroyed by arson today. The apparent reason? It had the nerve to recently add two Muslim players, and one of them was about to set foot on the field for the first time. Netanayahu condemns but has contributed to rightwing activism himself.

The amazing part of this story is that the majority of Israeli teams are integrated and even the ultra orthodox Likud team added Muslim players. The unamazing part? That some bigots exist in Israel and they protested. By the way, where are the stories of Arab countries that included Jewish players on their teams? not surprised that there aren't any.
