Saw rather good film by Sally Potter today, Ginger & Rosa, for which young Elle Fanning is (deservedly) drawing strongest raves of the year so far for a U.S. actress. She plays a Brit teen in 1962 obsessed with nuclear attack, though that's only part of of her issues. Anyway: I was startled to see the film opening with a few seconds of color film footage from Hiroshima--film suppressed by the U.S. for decades, and the subject of my recent book Atomic Cover-Up! It's very similar to what's found near opening of the trailer for my book, below:
