Snowden and Iceland
Confirmation tonight, via Julian Assange, that WikiLeaks is indeed helping Edward Snowden in his effort to find asylum in Iceland (where there are many WikiLeaks activists going back to editing of "Collateral Murder" there and before). NYT reports. Also confirms that Iceland has been approached and is looking into it. Snowden had said it was always first choice but had trouble with logistics before ending up in Hong Kong.

Actually, he said he chose Hong Kong, because "Iceland could be pushed harder, quicker, before the public could have a chance to make their feelings known"..
