Reed It Here First

The post-mortem Lou Reed bio sweepstakes has been won, for now, by Will Hermes of Rolling Stone in deal just announced, to be published by FSG.  New York will figure prominently in the book (duh) but here's hoping for new details on the electro-shock Reed got just over the hill from my house in the early 1960s (a few years later, Don Everly got the same, elsewhere).  Hermes wrote a book on the NYC punk scene of 1970s.
